Restaurant Review – Arizona Pizza, Clifton Park

On my mission to eat at 10 new restaurants, we decided to try Arizona Pizza.  It was a Wednesday night and so it was very quiet.  We were seated promptly and to my delight we had a booth with our very own TV!  HUGE bonus when dealing with a toddler!  We immediately put on NickJr and was able to keep Allie relatively entertained.  Their menu wasn’t overwhelming with choices and they had some unique meals.  Kevin and I decided to share a wood fired pizza and it was pretty good!  My only complaint about the pizza is that they put sausage slices under the cheese and so it got a bit messy.  We ordered mac & cheese for Allie and she didn’t have a bite of it.  She only ate the fries that came with it.  I’m sure we’ll return and next time we’ll try something different for her.  The service was just mediocre.  Our waiter was friendly, but not very attentive.  Our drinks were dry for a while before he offered a refill.  It also took a bit of time before he picked up our check and I think we were his only table!  Based on this visit, I’d give Arizona Pizza an B+

On a side note – here’s a recent video for your enjoyment!

101 in 1001: Hard Sudoku Solved – Task Complete

sudoku

It was easier than I thought and I didn’t use a single hint!  Finally, something I can cross off my list!

Nearly 14 months old

In a few days, Allison will be 14 months old.  It seems like she learns something new every day.  Some of the things she does now include:

  • Actions on command: clap hands, stomp feet, kick, spin, bounce, shake hips, dance, hug, kiss, down dog (yoga pose)
  • Makes animal noises: cow, sheep, dog, horse, snake, monkey, elephant
  • Identifies body parts: nose, head, ears, hair, tongue, feet
  • Words: mama, dada, dow(down), hi, ba(box & ball), no
  • Stacks rings
  • Climbs stairs
  • Identifies objects: horse, dog, Coco & Stella (her babies), ball, blocks, box, books
  • Sounds: m, b, p, n, d, t, s, f

101 in 1001: Balloon task – FAIL

I have attempted my balloon send-off twice without success.

Attempt 1: I took home a balloon from a birthday party (Brody’s First Birthday), but waited until the next morning to write my note and let it go.  Unfortunately, by the time I went to write the note, the balloon was already on the floor.

Attempt 2: I took a balloon home from Red Robin (I had Allie with me so it didn’t look that weird).  I immediately wrote my note and tied it to the balloon.  Apparently, cardstock is too heavy because the balloon couldn’t hold it up.

I haven’t given up though!  I’ll just write smaller and use thinner paper next time.  :)

Current favorites

Last May, I posted some pictures of Allie’s favorite toys.  I thought I’d update that post with her current favorites.  See the original post here.

101 in 1001

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

- Mark Twain

This year, instead of having a New Years resolution, I decided to attempt to complete 101 things in 1001 days. I’ve posted all my goals on this blog for accountability and I will be updating the list as I complete each task.  It’s ambitious, but it’s doable!  Check out the side bar for my 101 list and check back from time to time to see my progress.
