Allison at 18 months
Time has really flown by! Allie is 18 months now, and developing a personality all her own. She is very social and will walk up to just about anyone to strike up a conversation. She is compassionate with her friends and will share her snacks or toys. She loves the outdoors and would spend all day on a swing if you let her. She likes to collect rocks and flowers and look at different bugs. She enjoys scribbling with crayons and playing with stickers. She likes to run, jump, dance, and climb. When she’s not too busy, she’s very affectionate and will smother you with hugs and kisses. She loves animals – especially her dog. She will often pet her and say “good girl” (in her own language). She’s a picky eater, but not when it comes to fruit. She’s not cautious. She’s fearless and will test limits. She knows what she wants and is not afraid to tell you “no, no, no”.
Some words she uses: hi, bye, no, up, down, thank you, more, help, eyes (used also for glasses), nose, mouth, hair, belly button, watch, ouch, ball, dog, book, drink, banana, color, cheese, mail, outside, light, bubble, tickle, okay, done, baby, hat, duck, shoes
Tulip Festival 2011
Miss a chance to eat fried dough? No way! Get stuck in a downpour? So what?! I really enjoyed the tulip festival! After being cooped up all winter, it was nice to get outside for bit. The flowers were so colorful and I saw varieties that I’d never seen before. I even brought home a bag of kettle corn which was gone the next day. :)

101 in 1001: Win Something – Task Complete!
A couple weeks ago, Kevin, Allie and I went to a surprise birthday party for a couple family members. Well, the surprise was on me! I was the first person to RSVP to the party and so I won a door prize! We got two tickets to a movie and some movie candy – it was awesome! Allie also had a fabulous time because there was a DJ and she was on the dance floor half the night. She was very upset to leave the party. It was a blast!
