2 Months Old... Already?

Time has been flying by lately. Allie is already 9 weeks old and had her two month "birthday" last Tuesday. It's amazing to look back on pictures of her when she was a newborn and see how much she's changed. She's put on over 5 pounds and has grown 4 or 5 inches. She's already stretching out her 6 month sleepers, yikes!

I'm not complaining though, because although my baby is getting bigger by the second, she's also getting much more interactive and fun. She'll smile for people and some toys, she'll watch someone cross a room, she enjoys watching TV (better break that habit soon!), she's starting doing a little cooing, and she can even hold some of her weight on her legs. She's also began sleeping through the night!! Nobody is happier about that than Mommy!

She's also found a best friend. Her singing dog named Violet. Every time she even sees Violet she smiles. She'll do that for Mommy soon, right?

6 week pictures

I'm a bit late posting these pictures, but we've had a sick little baby. Turns out she has RSV and has quite the cough and wheeze. Hopefully she'll be feeling better soon.

Anyway, these pictures were taken a week ago. She was being quite the ham with her father!

Poor Baby :(

Well, the past few days have been rough in the Sheehan household. On Monday Allie got three vaccines and had a sore thigh for a couple days. Now, she's coughing and crying even during her sleep. Luckily she does not have a fever, but we're going to the doctors this afternoon to get checked out. Better safe than sorry. I hope my little baby starts feeling better soon.

Happy New Year!

Welcome 2010! We spent News Years Eve at home and all of us were in bed by the time midnight struck. Allison woke me at 12:45, so she got to be the first one to be kissed in the new year (sorry Kevin). Then we spent New Years Day with all of the grandparents and had a great time.

This year will be full of firsts: first smile, first step, first word... first birthday! I'm so excited to watch my little one grow and I'm certain all the moments will be captured by her daddy. He has made the resolution to take at least one picture of her every day of the year.

Fat and Happy!

The little munchkin is now 5 weeks old and a whopping 11 pounds, 12 ounces! I don't know when that happened. She's getting big so fast... too fast. She also 22.75 inches long and almost growing out of her 0-3 month sleepers. I can't believe I'm already putting 3-6 month clothes in the wash for my 1 month old.

A few new pictures

Lately, Allie has been keeping us busy with feedings, changings, and the camera. Below are a few recent pictures of Allie with her Daddy and in her bouncer. There is also a shot of Roxy trying to figure out what a big tree is doing in the living room.

The first 2 weeks...

Well, we've been parents for 2 whole weeks now. Caring for a newborn has definitely proven to be an exhausting job! Fortunately, Allie has had a few nights of pretty good sleep (4 hour stretches) and I'm getting used to sleeping less. I've also gotten better at taking care of myself... for a while I was so busy feeding her, changing her, entertaining her, and watching her sleep that I hardly found time to eat. I would grab something out of the pantry and just shove it in my face. Now that Allie has a reliable afternoon nap, I make myself lunch and can even shower!

After just 2 weeks, Allie already looks so different to me and she's already packed on some weight (which is amazing considering how often she poops)! Speaking of weight, I'm already down 37 pounds! I only have about 10 more to go. I still haven't dared try on my pre-pregnancy jeans. It's been nothing but elastic around here!

I'm glad that today is Friday because Kevin will be home all weekend to spend time with his little girl. He has been busy taking pictures and video and I'm sure Allison will be having another photo shoot! More pictures to come!

Welcome Allison Nadine!

Thanksgiving 2009 was like no other Thanksgiving for our family. We proudly welcomed our baby girl, Allison Nadine Sheehan, at 9:07am (just in time to kick off the Macys Day Parade). She weighed in at 8lb 12oz, and 20.5 inches long. With a full head of dark hair, and wide eyes, she's been a wonderful addition to our family. Now one week later, we're adjusting to parenthood, and couldn't be happier! Here are a few photos from Allie's first week of life.
